In the past the Taviani brothers made some very well known films such as «Father and master». «The night of San Lorenzo» etc. Their most recent film is called «Caesar must die» and is a sort of documentary following the staging of Shakespeare’s famous play «Julius Caesar» in an Italian maximum security prison.
Art is the first form of freedom,
according to the film’s trailer. Later comes the presentation of the prisoners and their length of imprisonment spanning from 15 years to life sentences.
Incidentally, as the film was airing in cinemas, a group of Spanish archaeologists was announcing the discovery of the exact spot of Caesar’s murder in the centre of Rome in the year 44 b.C.
