The Internet of things


During the last century, and particularly during its last decades, an immense volume of data has been created which constitute the so called “Internet of Things”. Traffic lights, sensor in devices for medical laboratories, mobile phones, train engines etc. are some of these objects. What they have in common is that they are electronically connected and send at any moment some data towards IT systems in order to have them registered and analysed. They also make part of the real objects of this planet. Along with natural systems and human networks, they have always produced an enormous volume of data which we could not hear, nor see and locate. Today things have changed as more and more of the objects and systems on the planet have a processor so we can access the many data which are being produced. The Internet of Things which has been created, is like a central nervous system which has gradually obtained a status, its own traits and intelligence…
