ReMap is an international project of contemporary art taking place every two years since 2007, in the districts of Kerameikos-Metaxourgeio in Athens, organized by the non profit ReMapKM. It is a platform aiming at a non conventional co-existence of well known artists along with younger ones, of curators and galleries from Greece and abroad. This year’s programme includes many participants from all over Europe (UK, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France, but also from New York and Turkey).
ReMap4 will take place from 8 – 30 September, 2013. Entrance is free and includes exhibitions, independent projects and special events (lectures) evolving around the contemporary artistic production from all over the world at the historical center of Athens.
A project called «Dialog» consists of 5 intercommunicating murals. The result of this co-operation is a dialogue among artists. The themes have to do with pictures and characters from the city streets and presents social and political problems of our times.
The five murals depict wrath, hatred, fear, envy and desire.
